1. What was the last song you listened to?/Two Months Off – Underworld
I listen to this song when I’m on my way to work. It’s a breezing and energizing song!
2. What song makes you calm?/Hell’s Stars – SACOYANS
It’s probably a song about someone who was cheated on, but it calms me down because I feel like they are letting out their resentment in the form of music instead of themselves, and I simply love the melody and sound.
3. What songs did you often listen to in high school?/Love$ick (feat. A$AP Rocky) – Mura Masa
I saw the music video and thought, I wanted to spend my youth like this, stuff like that. I think I’ve met Soya for the first time, before or after the Mura Masa’s first show in Japan.
4. What song makes you the most emotional?/SKY SKY 1.3 [2016 Export Wav] – Flume
I always listen to it when I travel. I listened to it 2 years ago in London. This song brings me so many memories. It makes me emotional every time.
5. Which song changed the way you think about music production?/Acres – Sam Gellaitry
I’ve come across a few songs that changed the way I think about production after listening to them a few times, but this is the one that I first heard and have never changed since. I think it’s the video.
6. What song do you listen to when you are doing your chores?/Just Like My – TAYE//PAL Remix – HOMESHAKE
The right song for cleaning.
7. What song do you listen to when you are cooking?
My demos. Listen to your work while eating, and fix them when you’re done eating.
8. Which song do you think is the classiest?/M$ – Babyxsosa
Not just the song, but her artistry as a whole is very classy. There are many rappers who copies her song/style, but Babyxsosa outclasses all those people, merely with her vocals.
9. Which song do you think is the nerdiest?/Unicorn tail Dustboxxxx RMX
I first heard it at an arcade when I was in junior high school and I still love it very much. I definitely listen to it before performing at nerdy events.
10. What song do you listen to after you leave the club?
I don’t listen to songs when I’m out the club!
11. What’s your next move?
I want to do a lot of co-writing with my friends, using my work. Recently, I’ve started to think that I don’t want to miss the moment when I can be of help and when they need my help.
DJing is as usual, but I’m thinking of hosting events myself again soon.
