Hello, I’m egoseed, I’m a DJ and producer from the United States, specifically from New Jersey. Music has been a beautiful journey that I’ve spent so much of my time and poured all of my heart into. I want my work to give people the same sense of belonging and hope that music has provided me. To essentially continue the ever growing love and appreciation for art. I couldn’t be more grateful for that. Music helps me bridge that gap. It’s my favorite form of communication, and I’ll continue to speak its language.
1. Tell me about yourself in your words.
Hello, I’m Cadion Bryan, also known as Egoseed. I’m a producer, DJ, and visual artist from the United States, specifically from New Jersey. The arts have played a major role in my life, from childhood up until now. It’s something I’ve poured a lot of my emotions, hardships, struggles, and observations into, and something I will continue to do.
2. What words or slang have you been using the most lately?
Light hearted
3. Around when did you start using that word?
I think the beginning of this year. It’s something I want to instill more in my life. Sometimes I feel like I take things a little too seriously. It’s very easy for me to see things within a black and white framework. So a word that is the antithesis to that is comforting and inspiring to me.
4. Do you have any words you invented yourself, or words that only make sense within your circle?
No, but I wish I did. I wish I was a wordsmith.
5. Are there any words, phrases, or emojis you often use in DMs?
Fried or this emoji combination “🙂↕️🙏”
6. If you had to describe your current mood or vibe in one word, what would it be?
Tired but with a restless passion.
7. Is there anyone whose way of speaking or choice of words you particularly admire?
My good friend Julia. She has a way of speaking that always gives me a lot to think and ponder after each conversation we have together. There’s a lot of humor, nuance, and observations in the way she speaks. I can most definitely say it’s something that has greatly influenced me.
8. Are there any words you deliberately avoid using?
Any words that elicit any form of hate or prejudice.
9. If you had to describe your upcoming live performance at Mana City in your own language, what would you call it?
As sort of an audio diary, a collection of mixed emotions and thoughts that I compiled together into something cohesive but still a little all over the place.
10. What are you interested in or paying attention to in Japan’s music scene and culture right now?
Just the boundless amount of expression that I see in it. It’s beautiful seeing a genre of music from another country work almost seamlessly in another country, while infusing their own culture and influences. It shows that great art can stretch miles.
11. What would you like to tell the people watching you, in your own words?
Believe in yourself. Even when your back is against the wall, even when you feel like the walls are closing in, It’s logically and emotionally the best route to take.
